Inner gardens are landscapes we carry within — at times wild, pulsing with untamed energy, at others trimmed and orderly, seeking to impose form upon chaos. They are places where identity is not a fixed image, but a process — a constant unfolding, withering, and being born anew. Within them, the boundaries between “I” and the outer world begin to blur. At times, we lose the certainty of where our authenticity ends and where foreign narratives begin — the words, expectations, and borrowed gazes that have taken root so deeply they have become part of our landscape. In this mingling, the world flows into us, and we into the world. But in this process, do we truly know who we are? Do we not dissolve into the background, becoming so seamless with it that we are no longer distinguishable? Is what grows and changes within us still ours, or has it been shaped by someone else? This photograph is an invitation to step into that shimmering threshold — to look inward and ask: who are we, when everything around seeps into our inner world, and we ourselves become part of another’s landscape?
