Scars of the fires aftermath that occurred in Malibu and Alta Dena, California still scorched the earth two months after the fact. It was one thing seeing the devastation of the fires on tv from the comfort of my home while it was happening....it was another emotional thing entirely when being at the site. I was in awe, fascination, sadness and profoundly overwhelmed. Homeowners lives and the land forever changed from the this toxic impact of man's footprint in the world.
