The wide eyed oculus...

An internal panorama The oculus is truly awe inspiring as an architectural concept - but its external views are well captured and I was keen to try something different. Panoramas always provoke a sense of wide open scenes and yet as soon as I stepped inside for the first time, I knew what I wanted to do. The images were taken rapidly, hand held and whilst breath holding to ensure as much attention to field of view as possible and started off comfortable but as lumbar and cervical spine hyperextension was called into play, in order to shoot backwards / over my head, the comfort definitely changed into discomfort....! In truth it only took three attempts to capture a suitable sequence and I knew as I was pressing the shutter button that this was a monochrome project.
