Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan Bridge I had arrived from the UK just 3 hours previously. Jet lagged and completely city naive, I confidently grabbed my gear and set off two capture a sunset that my phone predicted would be one of the best of my holiday. No time to waste.... Google maps soon told me that I wasn't walking fast enough so I assumed an army style of walking that hadn't been used for a few years! I reached the decision point of Brooklyn or Manhattan bridge and without thinking I went for Manhattan. Best snap decision of the holiday. What I hadn't accounted for were distance and shake on the bridge. It's a BIG bridge and to get to the vantage point t for this image meant no let up in the military style marching! I also wasn't aware of how much the bridge would shake with the never ending trains crossing. So patience allowed me to get a few "shake free intervals" and this was my favourite. My journey back was at a slightly more comfortable pace, but it had been a great start to my trip!
