Elegance always shines through and whilst walking down an otherwise unremarkable street, I came across this wonderfully kept scooter, which seemed so very incongruous to its background of shuttered doors, litter and graffiti. The picture in the background of the thin faced lady in the background reminded me of my all time hero movie star - Audrey Hepburn and knowing of her "Roman Holiday" adventures on a moped, I just had to capture something that encapsulated this theme and my hope that it would convert to monochrome, in order to pay homage, proved possible and so this is my "New York Holiday" image..!
