When I photographed this library, I was drawn to how it challenged the way we usually imagine such buildings. Libraries are often monumental and intimidating, but here I saw something more open and human. Through my frames, I wanted to capture this shift, from authority to belonging. Concrete and light defined my experience of the place. The structure carries weight, yet breathes through its transparent edges. I kept searching for angles where solidity paired with openness, where mass framed life around it instead of dominating it. As I moved across the site, boundaries felt uncertain. People occupied lawns, shadows stretched into courtyards, and trees seemed to fold into the building. I saw circulation not just as movement, but as gathering - verandahs and shaded corridors becoming spaces of pause, like public streets. From afar, the library appeared heavy and solid. But through the camera, I could show how it broke down into columns, voids and layers that dissolved scale and welcomed people in. Light filtering through structure gave the interiors a transparency that felt essential: knowledge here was visible, accessible and shared. Inside, I noticed how books, workstations, and social spaces overlapped without hierarchy. I photographed these moments of overlap because they revealed the spirit of the place, a library alive with people, resisting rigidity while encouraging exchange. Through this series, my intent was not to document form but to reveal atmosphere. I wanted to show a library that doesn’t guard knowledge, but embraces community; not a monument to revere, but a space to belong.
