Broken Liberty

Lady Liberty stands bound and blinded, her voice silenced, and her strength forcefully taken. Symbols once revered now lie in ruin, as justice bleeds into dust, knowledge is consumed by fire, and the promise of freedom has tarnished into chains as the world around her fractures into silence and decay. Barefoot at the edge of anguish, each step she takes is threatened by shards of glass she cannot see, all the while the world burns into a broken landscape of violence, decay, and silence. This is no allegory but rather an indictment serving as a cautionary declaration born of neglect, corruption, and a nation unraveling before its people’s eyes. It is a looming vision of what is lost when apathy reigns, when truth is gagged, and freedom is abandoned. It is sorrow. It is rage. It is the cry for love of a country deceived. And yet, even in her brokenness, Liberty reflects not only the fragility of her ideals, but perhaps also the persistence and perseverance of her people, even in face of seemingly impossibilities.
