The work employs mixed materials such as potato starch, gelatin, and paraffin wax. Using the figure of a “potato-skin person” as its symbol, it emphasizes the absurd cycle in which living beings are consumed, manufactured, eaten, and left to decay within human society. Beings become food, furniture, fertilizer, as well as sperm and remains—constantly shifting between life and death, use and abandonment. Human existence itself may merely be the continuation of another kind of material. The work seeks to prompt viewers to reflect: if humanity treats all things as consumables, can it escape becoming just another replaceable resource? This is the absurd yet inevitable cycle of life.
