On the frozen surface of the Arctic, a polar bear lies on its back, eyes closed, as if drifting into a dream. Known as powerful hunters and symbols of survival in one of the harshest climates on Earth, polar bears are rarely seen in such a vulnerable, almost playful posture. This photograph is about the duality of strength and fragility. The massive paws raised in the air, the relaxed body on the ice, and the softness of the fur glistening with melted snow all create a moment of intimacy with a species usually perceived as fierce. The calm reflection in the water beneath adds to the sense of stillness. For me, this image is a reminder that even the most resilient creatures need rest — and that nature is not only about survival, but also about moments of peace. In the Arctic silence, the polar bear becomes not a predator, but a dreamer.
