In the soft golden light of late autumn, three deer gather beneath a canopy of crimson maple. The scene is a small theatre of social exchange — a subtle posture, a lifted head, a gentle reach — where body language replaces speech. I waited for the moment when the rising sun backlit the leaves and warmed the ground, so texture, color and gesture could speak together.
