I’ve always been drawn to colour—not merely as decoration, but as emotion, memory, and energy. My study of colour theory in art school continues to shape everything I create. This series takes inspiration from the bold, expressive design languages of the 1960s and 1970s—an era when colour refused to stay quiet or polite. Danish designer Verner Panton, with his fearless forms and saturated hues, remains a touchstone in my aesthetic. His work taught me that colour can be both playful and powerful; that it can shape how we feel within a space, or within an image. Here, colour becomes a dialogue between muse and viewer. The pale skin is a blank canvas—fragile, human, honest—while the surrounding tones introduce rhythm, contrast, and a quiet tension. Shapes echo mid-century design traditions, yet invite something more intimate: a mood, a memory, a pause. This image, part of a wider series, isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence—about how the human form and vibrant colour can coexist, not to decorate each other, but to uncover something deeper, fleeting, and emotional. I invite you to pause and look. Follow the curve of light, the interplay of skin and shade. Let colour speak—not loudly, but instinctively.
