Movements and lights are predominant elements, enriching this photographic series visually. Taking as a reference the experimental short film by the New Yorker filmmaker and photographer William Klein, who worked in Paris, Broadway by Light (1958), in which the lights and neon signs of Times Square create a light show, achieving a powerful and unique visual aesthetic for the time. This exhibition is inspired by the futurist movement of the Bragaglía brothers, from Italy, who, at the beginning of the 20th century, were pioneers in this type of photographic technique in which they experimented with movement. Based on these two references, I seek to generate in the viewer a dreamlike sensation of what is perceived at first glance in the different settings of these photographs. In this way, I invite them to delve into the abstract images that reflect the lights and movements, trying to find meaning in each visual element, conveying the unique atmosphere that can only be experienced in the most iconic city in the world.
