The Wave Chaser's Twilight The clamor fades, leaving only the deep breath of the sea on the shore. He stands on the shallows, like the last guardian of heaven and earth, his silhouette blending into the twilight. No longer the challenger conquering the giant waves, he is now simply a humble believer. The sky before him is like an overturned oil painting, deep cobalt blue merging with fiery gold-orange on the horizon, the clouds edged with dazzling gold. He lets the seawater wash over his ankles, the waves carrying away weariness and distractions. Before the grandeur of nature, personal joys and sorrows seem insignificant. The sun is about to sink, but before darkness descends, this last ray of light has warmed his soul. Tomorrow the sun will rise as usual, and he will ride the waves again; but tonight, he only wants to possess this magnificent sight that belongs to the solitary.
