A Flutter of the Heart presents two portraits inspired by cultural memory and sculptural form.The red portrait pays homage to the traditional dress of the Hui’an women from Fujian, where floral headpieces and vivid tones convey grace, resilience and a quiet inner strength.In contrast, the white portrait draws from classical sculpture. The sculptural textures and serene pose evoke a moment of stillness, capturing fragility, transformation and the purity of emotional release.Together, the two images explore how heritage and form intertwine, allowing emotions to surface softly like a gentle flutter of the heart.
