TRACES OF WAR

In the center, a man, the father of the young boy, carries a long rifle. On either side, children play at swinging backwards. The scene takes place in a kibbutz park in Israël. This photo is part of a series « Traces of war - Photography as resilience », revealing the necessary over-protection that was so lacking on October 7, 2023. The massacres of children and babies, right up to their abduction, has produced a kind of void. The void is filled here by the often frontal presence of a rifle, a form of resilience filling the lack of security. In this series, children have a permanent presence. The NGO Visions du Monde states : "250 million children live in a country at war".
