Fire Strike

This image aims to portray the real life danger and drama faced by Jersey Airport's Firefighters when undertaking training exercises with real fire to ensure that they are fully trained and prepared to tackle an aircraft fire. The image highlights the teamwork, skill and professionalism of the crew working together to protect each other whilst tackling and suppressing the raging fuel fire. Training exercises such as this always come with risk due to the live fire situations but prepare the crews for the worst case scenario of a real incident. Undertaking a shoot like this using the DJI Inspire 2 drone at a live airfield took a great deal of planning and preparation in conjunction with Ports of Jersey staff to ensure full risk management of the operation and was conducted with a live link to Air Traffic Control to ensure safe management of the airport.
