Metropolis Cacophony

Walking along the bustling thoroughfares with taxicabs, buses and people hurrying to their destinations, there is a distinctive sound associated with the day-to-day life of cities. It’s a sound that can only be described as an urban lullaby. The whirr of the engines, the horns beeping, people shouting and possibly a babe crying in its stroller. It’s an unconducted symphony of sounds that can only be experienced in the city, yet it can be found in any city throughout the world. A comfortable, unforgettable, and distinct cacophony. I’ve listened to this similar musical score in cities from New York to Berlin, from Barcelona to Rome, and from Quito to Vancouver. Here, I’ve captured a melodic moment in Barcelona.
