I saw Sven online and thought he would work so well for my tattoo project. I knew the location to shoot him and so just had to work out how to approach the shoot. I'm a big Marillion fan and i am currently reading the full history of their life in the band. I don't think it was intentional, but i think i have been influenced by one of their band covers here, but i love the feel and moodiness of this shot. i am developing a retouching style which is making the images leap off the screen, it works so well with the lighting i inject into the shots.
