Stairs

Stairs are omnipresent in our urban environments, even if we often don't even notice it anymore. They serve to let us move from the current level to another level - whether for sporting or other reasons - but are often enough just the nice, free space to catch a few minutes in the hectic city life, to come to rest, enjoy a view or even meet up with friends. There are high, narrow stairways made of metal structures, wide stairways by rivers, escalators, ascents to theaters or cinemas, or narrow and hidden stairways to get to otherwise inaccessible places. In short: Stairs are almost always a worthwhile motif. If the light even plays along, stairs can even be an absolutely magical place for street photography.
