Going stir crazy after another series of lockdowns, I decided to take a hike up to the hills looking over Portland. I approached the lookout at the historic Pittock Mansion during the peak of magic hour. The sky lit up over the city in a way that I had not seen in quite a long time. I picked my spot and took a chance, forcing a very narrow aperture to capture as much detail as possible. The result was an array of colors and dark shadows, with most of the city sharply in view.
