Petra is located 250 kilometers south of Amman, Jordan. It is hidden by mountains, through which canyons and passages pass, and most of the buildings are carved and excavated from the rock, with oriental tradition and Greek style. The only entrance to Petra is a narrow canyon passage, the main entrance from the east to a once extensive trading city. In this isolated valley, I used my camera to document local Bedouin people, pilgrim travelers, tourists, and merchants, as well as the the majestic colorful valley and the monumental architectural craftsmanship of this "lost city".
