On a recent dive in Sydney, Australia, all the divers were mesmerized by the size of a huge school of fish when I turned around and saw this big female grey nurse shark approaching me. I was very fortunate to not only take a photo of her but especially to get a close up look of this beauty. She was so big (we believe she’s pregnant) which gives me hope that this endangered shark species will continue to live. Even though they might look scary to other people because of their body shape and teeth poking out of their mouth, they’re one of the most respectful and delicate species I’ve ever encountered.
