Iris Planets

Just as no two individuals are alike, the same applies to the human irises. By capturing these details, I want to celebrates the remarkable complexity of our eyes, from the subtle freckles and specks of pigment to the intricate arrangement of lines and curves, the eyes become an expression of personal identity and reveal the beauty and uniqueness of each individual. I get lost in these macro "portraits" , I find mesmerising the similarity to Earth landscapes from an areal point of view, some of them remind me of planets, beautiful and colourful gems lost in the darkness of space. I hope that my work can be a catalyst to celebrate and embrace our diversity and individuality, and help us to recognise our eyes as a canvas of beauty and uniqueness.
