I made the "Corona Botanics" series during the strict lockdown in Poland in 2020. I combined everyday objects (and those connected with the COVID-19 pandemic) from my home with garden flowers. My idea was to use this configuration as a metaphor for coping mechanisms. I mainly based on the positive aspect of emotion-focused coping, which plants stand for in this project. Optimism, humour, gratefulness, and kindness - have become crucial for maintaining good mental health in a world of restraints and restrictions.
