The "Grand rassemblement" (The Great Gathering) is a unique work of art located in Gaspésie, Québec, Canada. One hundred human-size concrete statues see their appearance transformed under the St.Lawrence River's tides and weather conditions (rising and setting sun and moon, fog, waves, etc.). Most statues totally disappear at high tides. However, they seem to emerge when the tides lower and seem to slowly walk towards us. I was making artistic photographs of these statues when someone came and started to walk in the opposite direction of the statues, towards the River. His black vest contrasted with the rest of the scene while his bald head matched some statues' head. It looked like he was going to join other members of the Great Gathering further away and become the 101th statue. It was an amazing scene!
