Cappadocia, which looks like the surface of the moon, is located in central Turkiye, southeast of Ankara. It is famous for its unique geographical landscape and is also known as the "fairy chimney". Extremely fine volcanic ash has been eroded over time to form this large cone-shaped structure. Some of these "fairy chimneys" have been constructed and used as houses or other living spaces. In wintertime, these amazing forms of earth are covered with white snow, transforming Cappadocia into an incredibly scenic wonderland.
