USGA Opening Day

The brief from the United States Golf Association was clear, show Opening Day for new golf year/season. The goal was to create images that are inspiring and aspirational for many in the country how have endured a long winter. The start of the golf season in much of the country – April 15 is the first day that scores can be posted anywhere – is an opportunity for golfers to do what they love to do and arrive at the course armed with the right information to enjoy the game. This is both a refresher course and an advocacy piece to encourage golfers to embrace the season ahead. My plan was to show the first groups, the very first golfers, out on Opening Day.
