I photographed Lisa Lisa as part of an ongoing personal project. I have given myself the goal of photographing 50 musicians whose music was significant to me as a teenager in the 80's. Music has always been my biggest source of inspiration and I believe that if it wasn't for those singers I wouldn't have followed this career path. When I think of Lisa Lisa, I can't help but think about New York City which was why I chose a location that overlooked the Manhattan skyline.
