It's intriguing how some photos come together after meticulous effort, and my experience capturing the White Tower and the National Theater in Thessaloniki was exactly that. The iconic White Tower embodies Thessaloniki's rich history, originally standing as a testament to the city's capture in the 15th century and later reclaimed by the Greeks in 1912, marking a significant historical event. Meanwhile, the National Theater of Northern Greece, founded in 1961, extends beyond traditional cultural roles, hosting diverse events, including conferences and festivals, contributing to both local and international cultural spheres. My quest to capture the perfect shot led to a prolonged evening stroll around the White Tower. While I explored compositions and chased the ideal lighting, Daria relaxed nearby engrossed in a book. It might have appeared comical, my persistent pacing and framing, but eventually, as the blue hour enveloped the city, I captured a photo that encapsulated my vision. The soft city lights created a captivating violet hue around the Thessaloniki White Tower, making the efforts worthwhile.
