The image was taken in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. The two Cheetah pictured are last remaining Cheetah from the famous "Tano Bora" (meaning "magnificent five") coalition of five Cheetah brothers who reigned supreme in the Mara since 2016. Cheetah don't usually hunt such large prey as the Topi in the image, which are three times their weight, but as a coalition of 5 Cheetah they needed to learn to hunt larger prey to ensure enough food for themselves. Between 2020 and 2022, three of the brothers were, unfortunately, killed in varying circumstances but the two remaining brothers have continued to successfully hunt large prey using a technique clearly shown in the image whereby one of the cheetah will, at high speed, try and force the prey's head down whilst the other grabs at it's legs. This causes the prey to stumble and fall and once it is on the ground, the cheetah are able to subdue it and suffocate it.
