The archaeological site, Hegra in the area of Al-Ura, Saudi Arabia, is virtually unknown to outsiders despite its similarities to Petra in Jordan. It could be because the Ancient City was untouched for Millennia but it finally opened to the public recently. According to Wikipedia, there are more than 100 rock-cut tombs in the archaeological site. It's got a reputation as a cursed place due to natural disasters. Although the story behind is virtually unknown, the Nabataeans Kingdom, Civilizations of ancient mysterious empires, reportedly inhabited the site. Look at this image. What a spectacular view. It feels so romantic to be there. Local tour guide suggested that I walk further towards the opposite direction of the rocks to get to a higher spot so I could see the rocks well and I followed her advice. There is no rock-cut tomb in this image but countless rocks fill out the line of horizon. The soft light of sunset also adds to the warm glow. I like the tyre marks on the sands because they are making huge circles that draw you in.
