On 6 February , a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, causing tens of thousands of deaths and injuries and destroying properties. Despite the gravity of the earthquake, the Turkish people did not lose hope for their loved ones buried under the debris of collapsed buildings, as international rescue teams flooded into Turkey, in hope that more lives can be saved and families be united. The 23-years-old photojournalist documented the scenes of aftermath and rescue in different affected areas, including the most seriously destroyed city Hatay, where hopes prevailed.
