ne unforgettable spot in Iceland is Sigöldugljúfur, a canyon that presents both awe and challenge. Arriving there in the pitch dark, the journey was fraught with danger. I navigated the terrain by the dim light of a headlamp, stopping just as the earth vanished beneath me at the cliff's edge. Setting up my tripod in this precarious position, I turned off all artificial lights to embrace the darkness. In that profound blackness, I captured the canyon's hidden depths. I took two distinct shots: one with a long exposure to draw out the faint light from the valley, and another with a shorter exposure to vividly capture the dance of the Aurora Borealis overhead. Later, using Photoshop, I merged these images to create a single, stunning portrayal of this magical place—combining the serene depth of the canyon with the dynamic colors of the aurora, showcasing nature's dual spectacle.
