Poetic

I started my artistic journey by focusing on landscapes, exploring maritime, urban, and industrial scenes. When I moved into my studio, I transitioned to botanical studies, where I could infuse my life experiences into each image through composition and lighting. The oyster mushroom sparked my creative journey, inspiring me to explore diverse fungal species through photography. By capturing their unique shapes and textures, I aim to create abstract images that evoke multiple interpretations. Using composition and lighting against a black backdrop, I invite viewers to engage with the poetic essence of these creations. Although comparisons have been drawn between my mushroom images and Edward Weston's "Bell Pepper" series, I persist in cultivating my distinctive artistic style. By choosing subjects that deeply resonate with me, I infuse my work with emotional depth. While my approach has organically evolved to reflect the Group f/64 aesthetic, my dedication to exploration drives me to consistently introduce fresh and inventive artwork.
