The whole heart of a cow. A 2 Kg muscle. Part of the Series CU, where diferent parts of the cow are displayed. A cow is more than the sum of its usable parts. From a nutritional perspective, humans believe that the individual elements constitute the animal. In Western culture in particular, we either see the animal as a whole and want to cuddle it, or reduced to a few parts, such as clean steaks or minced meat. These images (from the series, including the heart) confront the viewer with a different perspective, and perhaps urge them to enter into a kind of visual dialog with this subject.
