Craftsman's break

Koshigoe is a small fishing town nestled between the bustling tourist spots of Kamakura City. Mr. Yoneda, the owner of "Koshigoe Coffee," has been running his cafe here by himself for many years. On weekends, the cafe is filled with locals, and he handles each order with great craftsmanship. That day, however, it was just the two of us. I was reading a book there, as usual, when I happened to look over the counter into the kitchen, and saw him quietly reading a book as well. Finding it quite unusual, I took a photo. When I showed it to him, he laughed and said, "That’s very here.” These days, we can instantly get what we need, information included, yet we end up constantly feeling chased and rushed, trading calm for convenience. His humble, easygoing nature makes me feel at ease and reminds me of something more meaningful. I’m heading to the cafe again this weekend to keep the craftsman busy.
