Imprint of a Giant

One of the ocean’s biggest mammals, the humpback whale, lands gracefully on its back after launching its enormous frame out of the water off the coast of Sydney. Years of practice specifically for this moment culminated in this moment - the stars aligning with timing, lighting, understanding of behaviours and anticipation. The annual humpback whale migration up the east coast of Australia, along what is known as the Humpback Highway, sees the coast come alive with the spouts and splashes throughout the winter months, bringing untold joy to everyone along the way!
