If you look into Maine's aquaculture industry, you see summer days, fishermen in short sleeves and waders, fabulous sunsets and smiling faces. What you don't see however is that the industry continues all through the winter. Planting kelp, maintaining oyster cages, sinking lines, checking progress. It's the hard time of year. It's excruciatingly cold, it's lonely, and it's dangerous. This is what I wanted to capture. The harder side of the industry. I love what I do.
