These are a couple of images from a portrait series of Rex Allen Pritchard, a homeless man in Portland, Maine. Rex traveled to Maine from the south by bus because he had heard the services for the homeless were good in Portland. However upon arriving in Portland, Rex has lived in a tent under an exit ramp, relying on the goodness of strangers for his clothing and meals. Rex is one of hundreds and hundreds of unhoused individuals in and around the Portland area.
