Objective: Our 2024 Media Day photography aimed to capture dynamic, cinematic images of players, emphasizing resilience, fluidity, and strength. This water-themed project marked a pivotal transition for our team, drawing inspiration from the Pacific Northwest’s natural surroundings and the spirit of adaptation. Concept and Symbolism: Water served as a central theme to highlight both the team’s transformation and our connection to the Pacific Northwest, a region defined by its rivers, lakes, and coastline. The set’s design conveyed depth, power, and movement, symbolizing our players’ grit and adaptability. Innovative Set Design and Execution: The production setup was crafted to create an immersive, visually striking effect: LED Screen with Water Imagery: A large LED backdrop displayed cycling water visuals, adding dynamic depth to each shot. Dual-Colored Lighting: Layered lighting enhanced the reflective qualities of the set, adding a cinematic, almost surreal glow. Mylar Paper for Water Illusion: Mylar beneath players’ feet created the illusion of water, reinforcing the theme and adding a new visual dimension. Production Details: Photographed on-site in our production room, this setup allowed for precise control over lighting and backdrop changes, enhancing the water theme. Each player was directed into powerful poses that reflected the energy of game day, with images designed for the 2024 stadium schedule banner and organic social content. Impact and Recognition: This project received industry praise for its innovative approach, with visuals resonating strongly across social media and in-stadium applications. The photography connects fans to the team’s journey, blending visual storytelling with the raw strength of our players. Outcome: Our 2024 Media Day photography established a new standard for creative direction, capturing our team’s journey and regional identity in striking, versatile visuals. This project exemplifies the power of thematic design to engage audiences and enhance brand identity.
