The High Priestess with Holy Font...Representing Wisdom and Secret Knowledge of the material and spiritual world, purifying everything through water and in the act of good-saying... The Pontifical Swiss Guard (also Papal Swiss Guard or simply Swiss Guard) is an armed force and honour guard unit maintained by the Holy See that protects the Pope and the Apostolic Palace within the territory of the Vatican City State. As usual, the portrait is done on the busy streets of Venice during Carnevale, and using only natural lighting....just a simple portrait...With Heaven's blessings, we actually have divine lighting for a simple portrait... My Venice Carnevale photos and subjects are a little different from most photographers, but then, being normal gets you nowhere most of the time.
