I live in Canberra, Australia. Seeing a Muslim woman walking alone in regional Australia is unusual. I’d been photographing birdlife on the pond when she caught my attention. With no time to adjust camera settings I grabbed the shot. She floated by, confident in her safety while enjoying the scenery and her solitude. I know nothing of her story, but if she is one of the many new immigrants arriving lately, then welcome.
