Fragmented Contemplation on the Beach

The beach is a place free to go for everyone, a place where so many different people and animals unite. So many footprints in the sand.. from strangers to friends and lovers, from kids to parents and elderly, from people to birds and dogs... so many different, untold stories.. washed away by the passage of time, washed away by the wind and the waves. With these series, I wanted to capture one of these untold stories, before it would fade into oblivion. At the same time, I also wanted to showcase the beach/ocean in an artistic way. At first sight, these 5 photographs all show a different aspect/side of the beach, but there is also a hidden, deeper layer to them. They are connected and part of a larger story.
