My anticipation during a performance by 'Come together' (a collective of finest NZ artists) "performing the Greatest 20 Rock Songs of all Time" was that Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' would be featured. I had been invited as event photographer by the promotor Liberty Stage. After the first solo had been performed (by Jol Mulholland) , I positioned myself beneath Brett Adams, aiming to capture a stance fitting of this majestic solo. From there I had to wait for the right moment to capture this, for mics not to be in the way, lighting to be on Brett and his guitar, a suitable pose, and of course an infamous David Gilmour bent note.
