Photographer's Profile
Ukraine
Hello, I am Halyna Vitiuk photographer from Odesa, Ukraine. My photos are juicy and colourful, full of creative ideas, positivity and happiness — everything that the any person want to see in their life. However, this topic became the main researching theme in my work after the some tragic events. I came to photography at the age of 35 from the IT sphere and the world of online sales. I was a sales-manager and part of the team which researched how online users of the trading platform behave, how they choose products. That’s why I started my creative career first of all as product and food-photographer. When a war began in my native country - Ukraine, which brought much grief, destruction and death, I left for another country, saving my childrens. It was there that I felt for the first time what it was like to be among strangers and lose the familiar world. In my youth, I heard one Jewish wisdom: "Focus on good thoughts and all will be good." This is my main motivation in life. Therefore, right now I want to share my creativity, support Ukrainians and other people around the world, create more art projects about faith in the goodness and beauty of the world, and hope for a good future. I think that we are what we look at, what we read and what things we surround ourselves with. Photography became a reflection of this experience. My images would make you smile, give that joy you have had in childhood. My pictures are carefully prepared and always have a surprise element. I have clear and bright style at the same time, with accents and contrasts. Familiar objects captivated with unusual presentation. It lead to slight confusion and create space for imagination. These pop-art tools help to entertain a viewer, create a positive rhythm and grab attention. There are no technical perfection in my works. There are no deep conceptual ideas. My topics are not deeply philosophic and my images wouldn't lead society to spirituality. My photos are for everyone who today feels the weight of negativity and tension around the world.
