At the end of June, I visited Cambodia during the rainy season. My purpose was to visit the Kampot pepper fields in Phnom Penh and meet the artisan families there. I'm a regular user of Cambodian pepper, "Kampot pepper," and I've always wanted to meet the people who grow it. So I arrived in Cambodia with my beloved camera in hand. The pepper harvest in the rainy season pepper fields has almost finished, and now the main work is caring for and replanting the pepper plants. The pepper fields are filled with smiles. The artisans are working with vigor, which is also related to the quality of the Kampot pepper. Several artisan families live in the fields, and many of their children are the future pepper artisans. I will continue my reporting so that I can convey the appeal of Kampot pepper to as many people as possible.
