Country / Region:
Photographs taken at a Polish cemetery established in 1790. The surface of old stone tombstones, devoid of names, dates, or epitaphs, is inscribed by random biological and physical processes. The images do not require interpretation, but rather an opening to their influence—through texture, rhythm, the tension of forms and colors—and achieving a state in which form and content merge and disappear. This is a pure glimpse into the surface between past and present, where the organic intertwines with the mineral, and time with timelessness.
