In these images, light is no longer mere illumination but a generative force. It seeps into the ice, refracts along the shoreline, and stretches across the residual shadows of people—becoming an energy suspended between matter and time. The figures appear as translucent traces, seemingly walking on the same ground yet belonging to different temporal lines. Their presence is never fixed, but hovers in a state between not yet and already. This ambiguity reminds us that we do not exist as stable beings; we are shaped by countless fragments of time. Within these layered lights and shadows, Luminous Drift raises a central question: Is the reality we believe in derived from the world before us, or from the way we perceive it? The work invites viewers to recognize that seeing is not a passive act of receiving, but an active form of creation— and that reality itself is never fixed, but continually rewritten by light, memory, time, and the senses.
