Appearing only in Hokkaido's winter, the long-tailed tit is a miraculous sight. One of Japan's smallest wild birds, it measures just 13cm in length. Covered in pure white, fluffy feathers from head to tail, it's as if a lump of snow has come to life. Its adorableness has earned it the nickname "snow fairy" and cherished locals. Even in the bitterly cold below zero, its graceful hopping from branch to branch, sometimes even spinning around in the snow in search of food, instantly captures the viewer's heart. With its large, black eyes and a demure expression, its soft, airy presence, unfazed even in a snowstorm, is a fleeting yet warm gift from Hokkaido's winter. This photo captures the miraculous moment when the snow fairy gazes back at us for just a moment.
