We are in the beautiful Val d'Orcia in Tuscany near San Quirico d'Orcia in the province of Siena in early spring. On top of a hill is this 16th century farmhouse with its cypress trees that are a symbol of this region. At sunset after a spring rainstorm the sun's rays filter through the still dark clouds and caress the “Crete Senesi“ with the still ripening green wheat. With this shot I wanted to represent my region, Tuscany, in its entirety.
